Mark Wischmeyer’s business philosophy is partnering with businesses and their employees to optimize benefits programs. Since 1988, under Mr. Wischmeyer’s leadership, Wischmeyer Benefit Partners, formerly Wischmeyer Financial, L.P., has delivered the highest quality services for its clients. Having knowledge as both an insurance agent and a client, Mr. Wischmeyer developed a strong understanding of the needs surrounding employee benefits and takes pride in providing these services to clients and employees with passion and enthusiasm.
Prior to establishing Wischmeyer Benefit Partners, Mr. Wischmeyer held several occupations in the technology and insurance industries. He served as an account manager at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), installing business systems to automate accounting and inventory. As his career progressed, his interest in sales led him to Dallas Technologies, an investor group, where he sold and serviced technology equipment, such as word processors. During this time, Mr. Wischmeyer opened and operated Casual Computers, a computer store for Dallas Technologies.
Wischmeyer Benefit Partners was not his first entrepreneurial venture. In 1986, Mr. Wischmeyer joined his father at MKW Inc., the first third–party administrative firm in Texas. MKW Inc. wholesaled group health insurance policies to small companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Mr. Wischmeyer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in business from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He also holds credentials as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). Mr. Wischmeyer is also a member of the “Court of the Table,” a prestigious group of insurance individuals of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the premier association of insurance professionals. Only one–half of 1 percent of all agents in the world ever reach this plateau.
Mr. Wischmeyer is heavily involved in community organizations and charitable activities, particularly in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He is on the Board of Trustees at the University of Dallas, chairman of the St. Anthony School & Community Center Development Board, on the St. Anthony Board and Charity Golf Tournament, and a trustee of the St. Anthony Foundation in Dallas. In addition to these positions, Mr. Wischmeyer is the founder and chairman of the No Child Left Behind Foundation, Inc., and the No Child Left Behind Golf Classic, which Wischmeyer Benefit Partners sponsors annually to benefit inner–city schools. Beyond his charitable involvement, Mr. Wischmeyer and his wife, Monica, have three children and enjoy traveling, reading, exercising and playing golf.
